Dead & Co played Citi Field (with John Mayer playing Jerry's Wolf guitar) -- pics, videos, setlist

Dead & Company just finished off their show at Citi Field in New York City, and it was a big one. John Mayer came out on stage sporting Jerry Garcia‘s famed Wolf guitar that was recently sold in auction, and suddenly the show really takes on the “Never Miss A Sunday Show” vibe.

Then the opener song was “St. Stephen”.

From there the band continued their Grateful Dead classics with Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti all playing through a great first set, but the second set is what really floors me on paper… [Live For Live Music]

(Gratefu) Dead & Company brought their 2019 tour to the home of the New York Mets, Citi Field, last night (6/23), and as the Live For Live Music review quoted above points out, John Mayer played Jerry Garcia’s Wolf guitar that was recently auctioned. The Sunday show included such favorites as “Cold Rain and Snow,” “Sugaree,” “Jack Straw,” “Terrapin Station,” “Althea,” “Scarlet > Fire,” “The Wheel,” “The Other One,” “Morning Dew,” “Brokedown Palace,” and more. Pictures are in the gallery above (including pics of the parking lot culture, which is very alive and well at Dead & Co shows). Setlist and videos below…
