Dead Meadow releasing new LP this week (hear "Nobody Home")

Psych-rock greats Dead Meadow turn 20 this year, and the long-running band will release their eighth album The Nothing They Need this week (3/2) via Xemu Records. Ahead of its release, we’re premiering a new track from the LP, “Nobody Home.” The band tells us it’s “a song about being alone in solitary places,” and it’s the kind of psych freak-out that Dead Meadow do so well, with fuzzed-out proto-metal riffs, trippy wah solos, and a permastoned vocal delivery. It’s great stuff, as you can hear for yourself below.

Dead Meadow are playing psych festival Levitation in Austin, and leading up to that, they’ll be on tour, including a Brooklyn show on March 26 at Rough Trade with Dallas Acid and psychedelic visuals by Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show (tickets). All dates are listed below.
