Unburdened by industry pressures and aided by decades of life experience, the Dead Milkmen are back as live performers to where they were in the late 80s, a relaxed humorous group of regular guys who also happen to be an extremely entertaining band. At Bowery Ballroom on Sunday night, a packed crowd saw the band work through an excellent selection of choice older material mixed in with some new songs, in a 85-minute set that was everything we’d hoped for, energetic, well-played and an absolute hoot. – [NYC Taper]

Veteran Philly wiseasses The Dead Milkmen hit Bowery Ballroom on Sunday (4/21), the final night in a weekend of shows for the band. They fed the crowd a 31-song set in under 90 minutes that hit included most of the songs you’d want to hear (or the one’s I’d want to hear, at least), like “Punk Rock Girl,” “Smokin’ Banana Peels,” “Beach Party Vietnam,” “Serrated Edge,” “Tiny Town,” “Big Lizard in My Backyard” and, of course, “Bitchin’ Camaro.” Setlist is below and NYC Taper recorded their entire set for your downloading pleasure.
