Dean Ween wants to open weed-friendly music venue in Denver

Well this seemed inevitable: Dean Ween is hoping to open a legal weed venue in Denver. The proposed venue, named Dean Ween’s Honeypot Lounge (we guess "Dean Weed" was too on the nose), would be a joint venture with Michael Polansky who spoke to The Denver Post about their plans. "I think cannabis and music make total, total sense together," Polansky told The Denver Post, adding that the Honeypot would operate as a consumption site and wellness center during the day, with Dean as Entertainment Director. They're hoping to open Dean Ween's Honeypot Lounge by, you guessed it, April 20 but The Post notes that they haven't yet applied for a city license that would allow cannabis consumption on-site but plan to soon.

Meanwhile, the Deaner will play Denver's Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on New Year's Eve.
