While Dum Dum Girls are taking a breather (they’re still a thing), Dee Dee is staying busy. She’s playing drums in OCDPP, the punk inspired band that also features Cassie Ramone and OJ from XRay Eyeballs, and now she’s just unveiled another new project called HUNI. It’s got more of a synth-based dreampop R&B vibe which you can hear on HUNI’s debut single “Is There Any Other One?” While different than anything she’s ever done, Dee Dee’s strong pop smarts are still evident. You can stream or download it below.

For folks in NYC, there’s a HUNI release party happening on Monday (5/4) at Night of Joy in Williamsburg. Hosted by LA label Body Music, there will be DJ sets by Dee Dee, UUV and Young Beto. It’s a free party and the flyer for it is below.

You can also catch OCDPP at Baby’s All Right on May 15 opening for Ian Svenonius’ Chain & the Gang. Future Punx are also on that show and tickets are still available.
