Just in time for Halloween, Deerhoof are releasing a 7" where they're playing the music of classic horror film The Shining. The single re-imagines two tracks from the soundtrack: the A-side has their interpretation of Béla Bartók’s "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta," while the B-side has them taking on the film's closing cue, "Midnight, The Stars And You." Deerhoof Plays Music Of The Shining will be out October 20 on Famous Class (preorder on green vinyl). The cover art, above, is a nice tip of the hat, too.
