As mentioned, the second annual NYC edition of Desertfest happens September 11-13 at The Well, with a pre-party happening at Saint Vitus on 9/10, and the first round of bands is now announced. It includes Corrosion of Conformity, Dead Meadow, Conan, Stoned Jesus, The Atomic Bitchwax, Bongzilla, R.I.P., Toke, High Reeper, Huntsmen, Crypt Trip, Yatra, and Leather Lung. That's already looking pretty stacked, and there's still more bands and afterparties TBA, so stay tuned. Tickets are on sale now.

Corrosion of Conformity (whose drummer Reed Mullin sadly just passed away) are also doing a Europe/UK tour soon with Spirit Adrift, who have a lot of news. CoC's Pepper Keenan also has shows with Down coming up to celebrate the 25th anniversary of NOLA, including Psycho Las Vegas.

For Stoned Jesus, this will be the Ukrainian's band long-awaited US debut.

For The Atomic Bitchwax, this follows the band unfortunately needing to cancel their Desertfest 2019 set.

For Huntsmen, this is their first-announced NYC show since announcing their new album Mandala of Fear and releasing its great lead single "Ride Out."

For Yatra, this announcement follows their set opening the Warhorse reunion show in Brooklyn this past weekend. They also just released their new album Blood of the Nightt, which Ted Nubel reviewed for Invisible Oranges' January release roundup.
