Devendra Banhart playing new LP 'Ape in Pink Marble' at Brooklyn release show

Devendra Banhart will release Ape in Pink Marble on September 23 via Nonesuch. As with 2012’s Maia, he made this one in L.A. with Noah Georgeson and Josiah Steinbrick and there are now two songs to check out from the LP. Like with “Saturday Night,” “Middle Names,” is on the chilled-out, nocturnal tip. You can listen below.

Banhart will perform Ape in the Pink Marble in full at a record release show at NYC’s Rough Trade on September 23. Tickets for that show go on sale Wednesday, September 14 at noon.

Devendra’s only other U.S. date currently is the 2016 edition of The Growlers’ Beach Goth fest in Orange County with Bon Iver, Justice, Patti Smith, James Blake, King Krule, Future Islands, Nicolas Jaar and more.
