DIIV played a special "unplugged" show at Brooklyn's new (old) Murmrr Theatre on August 17 where they promised "new arrangements, covers, new music, maybe even some new clothes (but probably not)." There were definitely a bunch of interesting covers, including My Bloody Valentine's "When You Sleep," Elliott Smith's "Needle in the Hay" and The Korgis' "Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime" (which Beck covered for the Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind soundtrack). They also covered songs by (Sandy) Alex G and Girls. With psychedelic visuals courtesy Drippy Eye Projections, it made for memorable night.
