Dinosaur Jr announce intimate makeup shows without Mastodon

Mastodon had to cancel their tour with Dinosaur Jr yesterday "due to a critical situation of a member of the Mastodon family," and now Dinosaur Jr have announced intimate makeup shows without Mastodon in place of that tour. They say: "We appreciate your patience and understanding, as our team and these venue teams have worked quickly to ensure the band's return to these markets and we hope to get back to many more as soon as possible (Missoula, we won’t forget you!)"

They were supposed to play Port Chester, NY's Capitol Theatre on September 20, and they will now instead play that venue's MUCH smaller Garcia's room that same day. Tickets for this unusually up-close-and-personal NYC-area Dinosaur Jr show are on sale now.
