Dinosaur Jr & Easy Action played Brooklyn Bowl (pics, setlist), do it again tonight

Dinosaur Jr‘s tour with Easy Action barreled into NYC on Monday night (10/2) for their first of two BrooklynVegan-presented shows at Brooklyn Bowl. Opening with “The Lung” from You’re Living All Over Me (which they played in full at Riot Fest a few weeks back), J, Lou and Murph roared through classics like “Feel the Pain,” Start Choppin’,” “Freak Scene,” “Get Me,” “The Wagon” and more.

For the encore they played “Out There” and had Easy Action’s John Brannon (also of Negative Approach) for a cover of The Stooges’ “TV Eye.” (There was a lot more of that when J played with Stooges cover band Ron + Scott at Bushwick’s El Cortez with Negative Approach ahead of these Brooklyn Bowl shows.) Short video of “TV Eye,” plus a few other instagram videos and the Brooklyn Bowl Night 1 setlist are below, and pictures are in the gallery above.

Dinosaur Jr and Easy Action play Brooklyn Bowl again tonight (10/3) and tickets are still available. If you’re not going tonight, you can stream the show live, starting at 9:45 PM Eastern, right here:
