Dinosaur Jr are hosting a thee-day rock camp in Upstate New York called Camp Fuzz this summer. It goes down July 30-August 2 at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY and it will feature J Mascis giving workshops on pedals and guitar style, Lou Barlow giving a 4-string guitar & ukulele clinic, and Murph giving drum workshops with special guests. There will be performances from Dinosaur Jr and solo performances from J and Lou throughout the weekend, plus Q&As, arts and crafts, and more.

Tickets are on sale now, and here's more info on the lodging and other accomodations:

All prices are per person and include three nights of lodging, all meals, workshops, performances and use of rehearsal spaces and equipment. All camp activities will be held at Full Moon Resort. Full Moon features an eclectic array of comfortable, country-inn accommodations including simple B&B style guest rooms with shared hallway baths and guest rooms with private baths. “Primitive” campsites and luxury, pre-set stream-side camping packages are also available. Also available are premium cottages equipped with private deck with mountain views, air conditioning, television, radiant floor heating and dual head shower heads in the luxury and spacious bathroom. All accommodations are just steps away from daily activities. The grounds offer a spring-fed swimming pool, one hundred acres of meadows, forests and streams providing a natural backdrop for an unforgettable, enriching experience.

Standard guest rooms at Full Moon do not have telephones, TV’s, air conditioning or daily housekeeping service. Wi-Fi, cable television and complimentary phone service are all available at the Inn (please bring a phone card for international calls). Enjoy the spring-fed swimming pool, on-site access to the Esopus Creek, and explore the splendors of the Catskills on the nearby network of hiking trails. Please Note: There is no cell phone reception at Full Moon Resort or in Big Indian.

If you're concerned about skill level or not being a musician at all, the FAQ points out: "Programming is developed to accommodate all ranges of playing. All workshops are optional and open to everyone. Non-musicians are welcome to come hang, explore, and have fun. It is quite common for non-musicians to attend camps of this nature. This camp is for those who want to learn about the music of Dinosaur Jr." You can also bring your own alcohol (but can only consume it in the camping area or in your inside accommodations).
