Dirty Projectors stream new LP, played The Strand, announce more tour dates
Dirty Projectors‘ new album Lamp Lit Prose came out today (7/13) via Domino. It features Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold and former Vampire Weekend member Rostam together on the song “You’re the One,” plus Amber Mark, Empress Of, Syd and Dear Nora. You can stream the full album below.
The band also expanded their tour today, adding three-show runs in Oakland, LA, Chicago, and Brooklyn. Tickets for all these newly-added shows go on sale at noon.
The Brooklyn shows happen at Elsewhere on November 18 and 19, with 4 PM and 9 PM shows on 11/18 and a 9 PM show on 11/19 (tickets).
Before that, Dirty Projectors will play a free daytime release show at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on Saturday (7/14). Doors are at 1:30 PM, it’s free (details here). Updated dates are listed below.
Last night (7/12), main member Dave Longstreth appeared at Strand Book Store in NYC for an acoustic performance and a Q&A with the crowd. The event was livestreamed on Facebook and it’s since been archived. Watch below:
