DJ Koze released 'knock knock' (listen), touring
DJ Koze released his terrific album knock knock last week which features collaborations with Roisin Murphy, Lambchop’s Kurt Wagner, Jose Gonzalez, Sophia Kennedy, Arrested Development’s Speech and more. The real star of the record, though, is DJ Koze’s deep dig samples, incorporating everything from Gladys Knight to Bon Iver into his tracks. Folks have been swiping bits from other people’s records for upwards of 40 years now, but DJ Koze can still impress with what he weaves into his music. Koze will also be spinning at shows and festivals this year, and he’ll be at NYC’s Brooklyn Mirage on August 4 for the “Innervisions New York” party that also features sets from Âme DJ, Dixon, Solar, and Trikk. Tickets are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
