Dow Live Earth 'Run For Water' 2010 happens on April 18th - NYC event in Prospect Park w/ The Roots & John Legend

Live Earth and Dow have partnered to create the largest solutions based global initiative in history aimed at solving the water crisis. The efforts are to increase awareness of the global water crisis and it solutions, inspire and engage individuals to join the cause, and raise funds to support the project efforts. All event locations including Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY will be implementing Live Earth Green Event guidelines.

On April 18, 2010, more than 100 countries will be participating in a series of 6km races will take place over the course of 24 hours in support of the global water crisis. Through a cross-platform global fundraising effort all donations raised by the Dow Live Earth Run for Water will be used to fund sustainable and scalable water programs. A growing global network of NGO partners including Global Water Challenge, A Child’s Right, Akvo, Fondo Para La Paz, Indonesia Water Partnership, Lien Ad, Pump Aid, Wildlands Conservation Trust and many others who will successfully implement water and conservation projects around the world.
