As mentioned before, AC Newman will release his third solo album, Shut Down the Streets, on October 9 via Matador Records. That is the cover art to the album above. You can also download the album’s lush opening track, “I’m Not Talking,” at the top of this post, or stream it below, and you might recognize the backing vocalist as Carl’s New Pornographers’ cohort Neko Case.

As discussed, AC Newman will support the new album with a tour, and you can still get tickets to his two upcoming NYC-area shows:  Bowery Ballroom on October 22 and Maxwell’s on October 24.
