Westway's discoball

Downtown club Westway, the former Gentleman's club that was turned into a legit club and venue (with lurid red leather interior intact), will close in July, Grub Street reports. While it was mainly known as a nightlife and celebrity hang, Westway also had shows there regularly, and over the last couple years welcomed such acts as FKA Twigs, Sylvan Esso, Smoke DZA, Alex Winston, to name a few. As is a familiar story these days, the space is being turned into luxury condominiums. Owners say they are planning special parties and live shows before their July 1 close date.
