Dream Wife share “Hey Heartbreaker,” playing 2 NYC shows this month (1 w/ Sleigh Bells)
English/Icelandic trio Dream Wife are set to release their self-titled debut album on January 26. They've just shared new single "Hey Heartbreaker," an appealingly sneery riff-rocker that comes with a very cool animated music video made by Joe Prytherch (aka Mason London, former art director of Boiler Room). "It’s uncanny to watch these mechanical, parallel versions of ourselves rock out and then break out," say the band of the video's sci-fi vision. "We like to think that in another reality our robot versions are continuing their adventures; perhaps in the forest, perhaps plotting for a robot revolution, perhaps playing wild, secret rock shows to other robos." Dream Wife will be visiting NYC later this month, where they'll play two shows, including opening Sleigh Bells' sold-out Rough Trade show on January 23. They'll also play Elsewhere Zone One the day before (1/22) with QTY and Sabri (tickets). Those are currently Dream Wife's only North American shows, but they have dates coming up in the UK, Europe and Australia. All dates are listed below
