Dryjacket

Dryjacket releasing 'For Posterity' (stream "Two Toasters")

NJ’s Dryjacket are an emo band with a couple Kinsella signifiers like mathy rhythms and melancholic trumpets, but this is brighter, poppier stuff than most classic midwest emo. If you can imagine a middle ground between American Football and Motion City Soundtrack, it’s a little like that. They also sound a bit like A Great Big Pile of Leaves. Dryjacket’s new album For Posterity drops on January 13 via Hopeless (pre-order), and we’re premiering its new single “Two Toasters.” Check it out:

Dryjacket are also supporting their labelmates Yellowcard on that band’s final tour, which begins with a sold-out show at NYC’s Playstation Theater this Wednesday.
