Duster reunited & played new songs @ Baby's All Right (pics, setlist, video)

Spacey California indie rock band Duster were only together for a short time in the late ’90s, but they cast a long shadow, and are now back in action. Signs point to reissues from esteemed archival label The Numero Group, and Duster recently played their first live shows since calling it quits, opening for fan (Sandy) Alex G in NYC and then two sold-out headline shows of their own at Baby’s All Right. We caught the final show at Baby’s on Sunday (12/16) where they played two new songs — “Copernicus” and “Letting Go”– in addition many old favorites. Setlist and video of “Echo, Bravo” from the Saturday Baby’s show, are below..

The rest of the night included a solo set from Cassie Ramone, who had the crowd sit on the floor, Kip Malone’s Ice Balloons who had the wildest set of the night, California band Blackplate (led by Sean Casement who some may remember from ’90s band Tina, Age 13), and Twompsax opened the night.

Meanwhile in Baby’s front room, Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes was DJing (and told us there’s new BS on the way). Pictures from the night are in the gallery above.
