Eagulls releasing ‘Ullages’ in May, share “My Life in Rewind,” playing NYC

Eagulls have announced details of their sophomore album, which is titled Ullages which will be out May 13 via Partisan. The Leeds, UK band's dour outlook remains -- "ullage" is the amount a vessel is unfilled (they are a "half empty" kind of band) -- but they seem to be taking a more textured approach sonically this time. Like "Lemontrees," new single "My Life in Rewind" is a moody, midtempo number. (Think: Chameleons, Cure, Cocteau Twins.) You can stream it, and check out album artwork and tracklist, below.

The band will be visiting NYC right before Ullages' release, playing a show at Rough Trade on May 9. Tickets for this show go on sale Friday (3/4) at noon. It's their only announced U.S. show but they do have short UK tour in May. All dates are listed below.
