EL VY, Thao & Josh Ritter contribute anti-Trump tracks to '30 Days, 30 Songs' series (listen)

Matt Berninger and Brent Knopf’s EL VY, Thao and Josh Ritter have all contributed songs to the 30 Days, 30 Songs which features tracks “written and recorded by Artists for a Trump-Free America.” EL VY’s groovy, surreal contribution, “Are These My Jets,” which seems to be written from the perspective of The Donald. Thao’s song, “Before You Vote,” was written “before the bus clips surprised no one” and says “the verses are a kind of dazed appeal to those who might vote for him. I’m trying to understand why, because I think he is a monstrous sore of a liability. By the time I hit the choruses, I’ve worked myself into a frenzy considering his candidacy.” Ritter’s contribution is a live recording of “The Temptation of Adam” which was originally written about George W. Bush.
