We've been anticipating the new album from Boston's proggy, doomy heavy rockers Elder for a while now, and today they finally, officially announced it. It's called Omens and it comes out April 24 via Stickman Records and Armageddon Shop. It's the band's first album with new guitarist Michael Risberg and new drummer Georg Edert, and it features guest musician Fabio Cuomo on Rhodes piano and synthesizers. Elder also announced a tour with Bask, starting with a Brooklyn show on May 6 at Elsewhere Hall (tickets). They're also playing the Psycho Swim pre-party at Psycho Las Vegas. All currently announced dates are listed below, and they say "many more dates to be announced soon."
