Electric Zoo 2020 cancelled due to coronavirus
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Thursday (7/9) that all large events requiring a city permit through September 30 are now officially cancelled. That includes annual NYC EDM fest Electric Zoo, which was scheduled to return to Randall's Island over Labor Day Weekend, September 4-6. In a statement, organizers write that they are now focusing on planning their 2021 edition instead, which is scheduled for September 3-5, 2021:
Electric Zoo Family,
On July 9th, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced all large events will be canceled through September 30th. Regrettably, we must stop all the preparations for 2020 Electric Zoo: Supernaturals and reschedule the festival for 2021. We’ve kept hope alive and continued planning and building Electric Zoo until today. While we are heartbroken, everyone's safety is our #1 priority and we understand the Mayor’s decision.
We are all New York tough, let’s be safe and get through these difficult times together. We will return Labor Day Weekend 2021 with the Supernaturals theme and with the biggest line-up in the history of Electric Zoo!
If you are keeping your ticket, you'll recieve a $50 credit on your 2021 wristband to use for food, drinks and merchandise! ($100 for VIP/Platinum) and you don’t need to do anything! We will follow up with you in the coming months with your new ticket and how to receive your credit.
For refunds please fill out the form on See Tickets*
* refunds will be less service fees and processing fees
We love you all, and can’t wait to welcome you back September 3 – 5 2021!
