Electric Zoo 2023 happens Labor Day Weekend, September 1-3 at Randall’s Island Park and on Day 1 (9/1) the festival will have its first-ever LGBTQ+ stage. It’s named Dreamland, taking over the Morphosis stage, and is curated by Jake Resnicow, who has created other Dreamland events.

The Dreamland lineup at Electric Zoo features Eli Escobar, The Blessed Madonna, Kaskade (sunset set), J.Worra, Coco & Breezy, Carola, Spencer Huff B2B Matt Suave, and Bob’s Dance Shop.

“Curating Dreamland, the first LGBTQ+ stage at Electric Zoo Festival, is an incredibly momentous occasion, and an absolute honor,” Jake tells us. “The Dreamland stage at Electric Zoo Festival serves as a beacon of empowerment and representation. By spotlighting LGBTQ+ artists, we not only showcase their incredible talents but also inspire the next generation of diverse artists and fans. It’s about creating a space where people can express themselves freely, connect authentically, and celebrate the beautiful spectrum of identities within our community.” Read more from Jake below.

Electric Zoo 2023 also features, across its three days, GRiZ (playing three sets, including a b2b with Zeds Dead), the NYC debut of Kx5 (the collaboration of Deadmau5 and Kaskade), Major Lazer, Alison Wonderland, Zedd, Tiësto, Galantis, Skream, and more. Single day tickets are on sale now.

Dreamland is also hosting a Fashion Week party at SummerStage in Central Park on September 9 featuring Diplo, Blond:ish, and Giobbi with a pop-up fashion show from Macro Marco.

My vision has always been to inspire our community to discover new electronic and house music, while creating a platform for artists to grow and fans to connect on a profound level. Guests can expect an unforgettable experience at Dreamland. It will be a transformative journey, filled with vibrant sounds, extraordinary dancers and performers, and a contagious energy that transcends boundaries. With each gathering, I’m always blown away with the way the energy builds and our community grows. I’m more inspired than ever to keep creating and I owe that to each of our guests.

As a proud board member of Femme House, our mission is to address the stark reality that only 1% of charting artists identify as LGBTQ+. We are passionately committed to changing this imbalance and ensuring that LGBTQ+ artists are celebrated, recognized, and given opportunities to thrive. My aim is to create lasting change in the music industry. By elevating LGBTQ+ voices, we aspire to shift the narrative and increase visibility for marginalized communities. Together, we can break down barriers and build a more inclusive and equitable future for all artists.

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to be part of this transformative moment at Electric Zoo Festival. Dreamland is not just a stage—it is a movement that fosters love, acceptance, and growth within our community. We are thrilled to be leading this change and celebrating the power of music and diversity.

Special thank you to my mentor Michael Julian at Gray Area, who has inspired me to unite people on the dancefloor with exciting new artists that our community would never otherwise be able to experience in a true safe space just for us.
