ethereal pop duo Ummagma release new holiday single remixed by A.R. Kane

Ummagma is the duo of Shauna McLarnon and Alexander Kretov who make ethereal pop indebted to Cocteau Twins and much of the rest of 4AD's '80s output. In fact, last year's Frequency EP featured Cocteau guitarist Robin Guthrie (and OMD's Malcolm Holmes). "Winter Tale" from that EP has just been released as a holiday single, with a remix of the song by another 4AD alum, Rudy Tambala of A.R.Kane (and M.A.R.R.S.), who turns it into something darker, noiser and more mysterious.
