Everett Bird

Everett Bird releasing LP produced by Jace of Besnard Lakes (stream a track)

Everett Bird hail from Montreal and they’ve got a style that’s very rooted in the indie rock sounds of their hometown. Their new song, “Bucket of Dark Meat,” is sort of equal parts Wolf Parade and The Unicorns, and they recorded their upcoming debut album with Jace Lasek of Montreal’s The Besnard Lakes. If you like that kinda stuff, you’ll almost defnitely dig “Bucket of Dark Meat” too. Here’s what the band tells us about it:

“Bucket of Dark Meat” was the first song we wrote for the album. The song is about the feeling of anxiety a person gets when it seems like everyone is being more productive than you. On the other end, the song is about suppressing that feeling with things that make you happy.

The song premieres below. The album, People Person, comes out February 22 via Royal Mountain Records (home to releases by PUP, Mac DeMarco, Ought, Alvvays, and more).
