Agoraphobic Nosebleed / Despise You Split
Lots of metal/hardcore updates that need to be addressed, so in honor of my non-existent Short Wave Warfare column I’ve added them here to my weekly suggested show column, Evillive. Check out some of interesting records that are out now/on the way, alongside some of my suggested shows in the coming weeks!
Agoraphobic Nosebleed have teamed up with the awesome Despise You to release a split on Relapse Records entitled And On And On… due on April 26th. Preorders are up now, and you can order it with a jaw-dropping tee if you so desire. Agoraphobic Nosebleed contains Kat of ex-Salome fame.
UK stoner doomers Bong will welcome their new LP Beyond Ancient Space via Ritual Productions on May 16th. Stream a new song, “Onward to Perdóndaris”, below along with a Burzum cover.
A reminder: White Lung will team up with Pollution for a pair of dates including tonight (4/8) at Acheron and tomorrow (4/9) at Cake Shop. Joining the pair at Acheron is Kicking Spit, a new venture featuring members of Seasick and ANS, who recently dropped a new 12″/CD via Tankcrimes (download it digitally for free). Stream the EP in full below. Speaking of ANS, they recently shared a split with the mighty Ramming Speed, stream that below as well and buy a digital copy at their bandcamp or a 12″ via the label.
Altar of Plagues will release their new LP Mammal via Profound Lore, stream a new track “Feather & Bone” at Stereogum and a stream of an edit of a second track, “Neptune is Dead”, below. Look for the new LP on 5/17 and check out an album “trailer” below.

Drain The Sky (featuring Carl from His Hero Is Gone) has three NYC shows in the next two weeks, as the band will play Death by Audio on 4/15, ABC No Rio on 4/16, and Lucky Cheng’s in 4/23 as part of a tour with River City No Comply.
Ocrilim has released his “purging trilogy” 3LP via Rock Is Hell. Limited to only 300 copies, get one while you can!
Wormrot “Erased Existence”
Indian‘s new LP Guiltless is out NOW, and streaming in full at Stereogum. Fans of putrid, sludgy doom, take note!
Salt Lake City’s Sub Rosa have released their new LP No Help for the Mighty Ones via Profound Lore Records. The predominantly female doom band’s new LP is making waves with the new LP, and you can check out one of those tracks, “Inheritance”, streaming below.

Make way for Premonition 13, Wino‘s new band featuring Ostinato drummer Matthew Clark and former Meatjack bassist Brian Daniloski. The trio have released a new 7″ via Volcom (streaming in its entirety below) and are preparing a new LP for release.
Crusty German d-beaters Planks, who killed it at Death By Audio last year, have a new four song EP Solicit To Fall out now at their bandcamp. Stream it below.
The infamous Christian Mistress demo has undergone a vinyl makeover, and is out now/limited to 350 copies via Unseen Forces.
Virus (ex-Satyricon, Aura Noir, Ulver) has released The Agent That Shapes The Desert via Duplicate Records. Check out the band running through the title track of the last (and awesome) LP The Black Flux below and order a copy of the record via the label. Fans of the soft middle where black metal and the avant-garde collide, make sure and check it out.

Seidr, featuring Austin of Panopticon, ripped Acheron during their tour with Lake of Blood earlier this year, and now the death-doomers will release a new LP For Winter Fire on Flenser Records. Stream some snippets below and look for it on May 24.

Look for Russian Circles on the road in October/November, as part of a US tour. The band is currently working on LP #4.
Grave will hit Gramercy Theater on 9/3 with Blood Red Throne, Pathology, and Gigan. Tickets are on sale. The date is part of a larger tour for the Swedish death-metallers.
