Australian post-punk group EXEK, who released album Ahead of Two Thoughts earlier this year, have a new EP titled A Casual Assembly that's out October 12 via Superior Viaduct. Decidedly more stark and subdued than the album, with minimal percussion in favor of atmospheric elements, it is no less disquieting, with frontman Albert Wolski giving hallucinatory monologues overtop. You can check out "A Fax Back From The Architect," and stream Ahead of Two Thoughts in full, below.

EXEK play Gonerfest in Memphis this weekend and then will tour the US, including Brooklyn shows: Saint Vitus on October 10 with Richard Papiercuts and Orion (tickets); and Ceremony on October 12 with Lake Ruth and Oakland, CA's Marbled Eye (more info). They'll also play Kingston, NY's King Tubbys on October 11 wth Spray Paint, and EXEK also be touring with Anika's band, Exploded View, whose new album is out today, on the West Coast.
