A reunited band has to reclaim its mantle (although Faith No More has been touring internationally since 2009), and that's what it was doing at Webster Hall. In new songs and old ones, the band had its longtime brawn and precision. It also reiterated its old ploy of contrasting its own tumultuous songs with easy-listening standards like the Herb Alpert hit "This Guy's In Love With You," which reassured the audience, "We know each other very well." [NY Times]

Faith No More, who we also caught earlier on tour in Chicago, kicked off their 2-night run at Webster Hall in NYC last night (5/13). They also appeared on Fallon that night. Pictures from the former and video from the latter are in this post.

Le Butcherettes opened at Webster, like they're doing all this tour and did again tonight/Thursday at Webster Hall. Refused open when Faith No More return to NY to headline MSG on 8/5. Tickets are still available for that show.

Faith No More are also playing Bumbershoot this year.

For more, check out the big feature Rolling Stone just did on the band.
