Neil Young, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp's annual Farm Aid benefit concert was announced for 2018, and this year it's coming to Connecticut for the first time ever. It happens September 22 at the XFINITY Theatre in Hartford. In addition to performances by all three founders, and Dave Matthews (who's been on the board of directors for years) playing with Tim Reynolds, the 2018 lineup includes Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Margo Price, and Willie Nelson's sons: Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and Insects vs Robots/Particle Kid (aka Micah Nelson). There are also more TBA.

Tickets go on sale Friday (6/29) at 10 AM with a presale starting Tuesday (6/26) at 10 AM.

Willie Nelson has more upcoming dates on his "Outlaw Music Festival" tour, including a Saratoga Springs, NY stop the day after Farm Aid with many of the same acts playing Farm Aid (including Neil). Neil Young also begins a short solo tour this week.
