Father John Misty sang about fired FBI director James Comey (watch), begins NYC run tonight
Donald Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey was on most people's lips yesterday, including Father John Misty who composed an impromptu song about the hot button issue while scarfing down some pizza. Sure, there is some artistic license -- he sings "CIA" instead of "FBI" ("CIA rhymes") but he does work in an Anthony Weiner reference. You'll just have to watch below.
Father John Misty's sold-out, three-show NYC run begins tonight (5/10) at Kings Theatre with Dams of the West (the Chris Tompson of Vampire Weekend side project) before moving to Brooklyn Steel on Thursday and Friday with Adam Green opening. He'll be back in late summer to play Port Chester's Capitol Theatre with Phosphorescent.
