UK band Fear of Men are putting the finishing touches on the follow-up to their 2014 debut, Loom. Guitarist Daniel Falvey spoke to DIY Magazine about what’s changed this time:

We got a lot more interested in manipulating sounds and building songs with computers, but we had to learn how to combine that with our live performance,” says Falvey, who had to work out “how to make guitars sound like strong synthesisers, but with an organic quality that only a guitar could bring. We’re very interested in combining those worlds.

Falvey added, “We wanted to write an album that would make the stage shake, and we had to work out how we could sound stronger and get our ideas across in a more concise way.”

There’s been no music released from the still-untitled album, but Fear of Men will be in the U.S. next month for SXSW, and immediately after they’ll stop in NYC to play Rough Trade on March 22. Tickets for the Rough Trade show go on sale Friday (2/5) at noon. It’s their only non-SXSW date on this trip. Flyer for the Rough Trade show is below.
