Feelies playing all-Velvet Underground set in conjunction with new NYC exhibit

As mentioned, that big Velvet Underground exhibition will open in NYC in October. In conjunction with the opening, NJ greats The Feelies will play a special show featuring an entire set of Velvet Underground covers at Jersey City's White Eagle Hall on October 13. Dubbed "The Feelies play The Velvet Underground and other favorites," tickets for that show go on sale Wednesday, August 15 at 10 AM.

Some might joke that The Feelies pay tribute to the Velvet Underground at every show they play -- and more sets than not feature an actual VU cover or two -- but the band have never made any bones about it, are now legends in their own right, and are always worth seeing. It's currently The Feelies only scheduled show.
