Feels prep new LP for Wichita, share "Car," touring

feels

L.A. punks Feels will be back with new album, Post Earth, on February 22 via Wichita Recordings. The band made the record with Tim Green (Nation of Ulysses) and, as the title hints, it’s politically charged. “It wasn’t intentional to write a politically charged record,” says bassist Amy Allen. “But the way the world is functioning right now made it impossible to write about anything else. We all need to figure it out; we’re running out of time. The golden age is over.” Take, for example, album opener “Car” which the band says “is a tongue-in-cheek guided tour around a twisted political landscape where everything’s a lie and ignorance is bliss.” Built around a tough, scuzzy riff, it comes with attitude as well. You can watch the video below.

Feels, which also includes Shannon Lay (who puts our very different-sounding solo albums), have a few tour dates in December, including two in Brooklyn” Alphaville on 12/1 with Native Sun and Chorizo, and Union Pool on 12/2 with Roya. They’ll also play shows in L.A.: the Wichita holiday party at Gold Diggers on 12/11, and then a release show at The Echo on February 19. All dates are listed below.
