Christian Fennesz released Agora, his first record under the Fennesz name in five years, back in April. His use of treated guitar to create lush, ethereal soundscapes remains breathtaking and Agora (which made Pitchfork's Best Albums of 2019 list) is a gorgeous listen. Check it out below.

Though he played two shows in Canada and one in Mexico earlier this year, it's been nearly a decade since Fennesz launched a proper North American tour, but he'll be in the States for Knoxville's Big Ears festival and will tour around it, starting in San Francisco on March 6 and wrapping up at Iowa's Mission Creek Festival on April 4, with stops along the way in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Montreal, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, DC, Dallas, Durham, Cleveland and Columbia, MO. All headline dates are with Britton Powell.

The Brooklyn show is at the Bushwick Methodist Church on March 14 and is part of the Ambient Church series. Tickets are on sale.
