Fionn Regan

Fionn Regan made a video starring Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders), playing shows

Irish folk singer Fionn Regan has been at it for over a decade now, but his output and touring slowed down a bit after the release of 2012’s The Bunkhouse Vol. 1: Anchor Black Tattoo. Last year, he re-entered the spotlight a bit after “Abacus” (off his 2006 debut) was sampled on “00000 Million” off Bon Iver’s great 22, A Million. Justin Vernon and Fionn also performed the song together in Berlin, and a video of that is below.

Now he’s set to release his first album in five years, The Meetings of the Waters, on April 14. The album’s first single is the gentle, delicate title track, and it’s got a video starring actor Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders, Inception, 28 Days Later, etc). You can watch that below.

Fionn has just a few shows scheduled at the moment. Most are in the UK, but there’s also one in NYC on June 8 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for that show are on AmEx presale now, and they go on sale to the general public on Friday (3/24) at noon. All known dates are listed below.

UPDATE: The show was moved to September 9. All tickets will be honored.
