Highly influential post-hardcore/punk legends Flipper are on their 40th anniversary tour, and while original vocalist Bruce Loose left the band in 2015, David Yow (The Jesus Lizard / Scratch Acid) is about as perfect a replacement as you could imagine. The tour crashed into NYC on Thursday night (10/24) for a show at the soon-to-close Brooklyn Bazaar and, as you might expect, it was bananas. Spit and sweat was flying everywhere, with Yow giving his all, whether from the stage, in the audience or on top of them. The band sounded great, too, and Ted Falconi still rips on guitar.
