Flogging Molly & Dropkick Murphys played Forest Hills (pics), add more dates
The awesome double bill of Celtic punk that is Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys‘ co-headlining tour landed in Queens on Friday (6/22) for a big show at Forest Hills Stadium. The show was opened by Irish punk legend Jake Burns of Stiff Little Fingers (who clearly influenced both headliners), and Jake played an awesome solo acoustic set with SLF favorites and entertaining stories (including one about the history of the classic “Suspect Device”). Both co-headliners played career spanning sets (though Dropkick went a little heavier on newer material than Flogging Molly), and you can check out both bands’ setlists below. This leg of the tour wrapped up the following night in New Hampshire, but they just added more dates together for September. Those are listed below.
