Florida emo/pop punk band Glazed prep new EP for Acrobat Unstable (watch a new video)

Last year, Florida emo/pop punk band Glazed caught our ear with the new song “DOOMED WORLD (keep spinning),” and now they’ve signed to the fast-rising Acrobat Unstable label for their upcoming EP The Chillogy, due May 6. We’re premiering lead single “Cherry Ice,” a super catchy song that hearkens back to bands like The Starting Line and New Found Glory and others from Drive-Thru Records’ early 2000s heyday, and it comes with a lengthy music video that almost doubles as a short film. The band says:

“Cherry” Ice is the blended sum of pop punk sounds that clutter my mind, so I decided to put that curse on someone else. I told the band we needed to write our “Dumpweed” to begin the album with big energy, and we did.

Musically, song is reflective of who we are – musicians from Florida raised in a hardcore and pop punk dominated scene who learned how to be a band and do things ourselves during the emo revival. We’re still figuring it out to be honest, and we still don’t really fit in.

That’s why it’s the single. Because it IS us.
