Foals, Nilüfer Yanya, Wolf Alice, Baxter Dury, The Vaccines, The Big Moon, The Orielles, Pixx, and more UK artists have contributed rare and unreleased tracks for a new benefit album, Songs For The National Health Service. All proceeds from this vinyl album go to funding specialist Personal Protective Equipment for hospitals and NHS key workers. Here's more:

We don’t believe the NHS should be treated like a charity, but it’s difficult to watch as frontline medical professionals put their lives at risk during this crisis, especially due to a lack of the right equipment. With that in mind, all proceeds of this record will be used to directly fund the purchase and distribution of reusable PPE Respirators to protect key workers during Covid-19 and beyond.

We’ve partnered with Dr. Natalie Watson at University Hospital Lewisham as she launches the Hoods for Heroes campaign. Their initial target of £30,000 will provide enough ‘PAPR’ (powered air purifying respirators) to help fully stock Lewisham Greenwich NHS Trust (site of the UK’s first patient with confirmed Covid-19 infection), Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust and University Hospital Crosshouse, Scotland. All money raised beyond that will provide equipment for further hospitals and regions based on need, not only helping safely treat victims of Covid-19, but enabling NHS teams to re-start time-critical head and neck cancer surgery.

You can preorder the album now and all proceeds go to the Hoods for Heroes charity.
