Last month, The Stranglers tour rolled through NYC, and now former frontman Hugh Cornwell will be making his way here too. Hugh released his new album, Totem & Taboo, on June 25, and it finds him in the fiesty mode of early Stranglers — as opposed to the synth-heavy sound they adopted in the late ’80s and on his early solo records. You can stream it via Spotify and Rdio and check out the NSFW video for “God is a Woman,” which Hugh directed as well, below.

Hugh’s North American tour will hit NYC this fall at Highline Ballroom on December 8. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
