Frank Ocean launching queer club night in NYC tonight

Frank Ocean is launching a queer club night called PrEP+ in NYC tonight (10/17) at 10 PM, as reported in an Instagram post from Gayletter, who recently did a cover story with Frank. The IG post explains, “The night is named PrEP+ as an homage to what could have been of the 1980s’ NYC club scene if the drug PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) — which can be taken daily to prevent HIV/AIDs for those who are not infected but are at high risk — had been invented in that era.”

According to Gayletter, ticket links have been distributed already and ticket-holders will be notified of the venue at some point today. The party goes from 10 PM-late. Here are the house rules:

No photos or videos are allowed
Consent is mandatory
Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form or discrimination
The dance floor is for dancing

In a recent interview with W Magazine, Frank said he has a new album in the works that’s influenced by “Detroit, Chicago, techno, house, French electronic” and other “iterations of nightlife.”
