Frankie and the Witch Fingers releasing 'Brain Telephone' (listen to "Learnings of the Light")

LA garage-psych crew Frankie & The Witch Fingers are direct sonic descendants of head-trippers like The 13th Floor Elevators, The Pretty Things and The Seeds, and have an energy and approach to songcraft that most of the groups in this crowded genre don’t. The band are set to release their new album, Brain Telephone, on September 15 via Permanent Records and we’ve got the premiere of “Learnings of the Light” which definitely owes a little to Roky Erickson. Say the band:

Discover the moment that the seed was planted. Live the life of the plant that grew. All with the bite of the fruit that it was destined to bear, and you were destined to eat. YESS. One taste of the succulent, shamanic knowledge was all it took for Adam and Eve, and for you, earthchildren. Every bite is as sweet as the last.

You can feast upon the light born of the song! You can nourish yourself on the music of knowledge. Praise your pallet, my sisters and my brothers. REALIZE the things that connect us all. Surrender to the vibe and lose yourself to the lessons of the holy light.

Frankie and the Witch Fingers will celebrate Brain Telephone’s release in Los Angeles at The Echo on September 15 with POW! and The Mad Walls also on the bill. You can also catch them at the 2017 edition of Desert Daze in Joshua Tree, CA.
