As mentioned, Frankie Cosmos release their fourth studio album, Close It Quietly, on September 6 via Sub Pop. Following first single “Windows” they’ve shared a second, a slice of lilting, slightly melancholy indie pop called “Rings (On A Tree),” which you can listen to below.
Franki Cosmos have a tour supporting Close It Quietly coming up, beginning with North American dates in September (including NYC’s Webster Hall on September 29) and heading to the UK and Europe in October before returning to North American in November. They’ve added an opener for the first leg, Lina Tullgren, who is releasing their sophomore album, Free Cell, on August 23 via Captured Tracks. They’ve shared a new single from it as well, the beautifully orchestral “Bad At Parties,” and you can watch its video, directed by Ty Ueda, below.
In addition to their dates with Frankie Cosmos, Lina Tullgren also has a hometown headlining show at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on August 22 with Carlos Truly and .michael., and tickets are on sale now.
