This year's free SummerStage concerts were announced last month. As in previous years, these shows are happening in city parks across the five NYC boroughs: Brooklyn's Red Hook Park (Bay Street between Henry Street and Clinton Streetwill host half a dozen events in June:

UPDATE: "SummerStage events in Red Hook Park will now take place in Coffey Park due to field closures in the Red Hook recreation area. Coffey Park is located at Verona Dwight Streets, a few blocks northwest of the Red Hook Recreation Center."

Things kick off June 14 with local synthpop duo Chairlift, who released their third LP Moth earlier this year.

On the next night, great hip hop producer Just Blaze, who produced songs for Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Diddy and other hip hop greats, plays a set with friends (hopefully some of his famous ones!).

Another great one goes on June 16 with Blonde Redhead, who have been working on new material following up 2014's Barragán.

Poet Liza Jessie Peterson and hip hop artist LuQuantumleap hit the stage June 17.

On June 18, it's an evening of dance presented by New Jersey's Dance On The Lawn, featuring Kyle Marshall, ZEST Collective, choreographer Robert Mark Burke presenting  a duet set to the music of Max Richter, and more.

The last Red Hook SummerStage event has teen rap collective RAAA,  songwriter/producer Ziearre and veteran DJ and party-thrower Rich Medina on June 19.
