Free Cake For Every Creature has a new song, beginning tour with Trace Mountains tonight (dates, stream)

Katie Bennett’s Philly twee folk project Free Cake For Every Creature is releasing the followup to last year’s Pretty Good with a new tape called Moving Songs next week (3/31) via Double Double Whammy (pre-order). We’ve got the premiere of its new single “The Day To Day,” which combine’s Katie’s hushed songwriting with some high-pitched vocal yips. Listen below.

Free Cake is about to begin a tour with Trace Mountains (Dave from DDW and LVL UP) which kicks off in NYC tonight (3/26) at Shea Stadium with Epoch bands Told Slant and Florist. That’s $8 at the door.

Free Cake has other dates after that run ends, including the Philly stop of the Colleen Green / Upset tour. All dates are listed below.
