French blackened hardcore/metal band Celeste are on a rare tour of North America with Infernal Coil right now. The guys at Invisible Oranges caught their set at Northwest Terror Fest and at SubT in Chicago (their pics from both above). About the show, IO's Andrew Rothmund says:

Celeste summon dense atmospherics amidst a manually controlled light-show and layers of fog; their bright red headlamps lose all tackiness as powerful swaths of French black metal materialize right before the crowd.

He also called their set at NWTF an "unbelievably ethereal experience," while in Chicago he pointed out that they were "leveling [the crowd] with a solid wall of sound."

There are still a few chances to catch the band before the tour ends including the next two nights in NJ and Brooklyn. Dates are listed below:
