The Queens Museum's 'Queens International' biennial happens this year and as part of it, there will be a concert series called "Becoming New Objects" that is presented in conjunction with Ridgewood venue Trans-Pecos. These experimental music events will run April 11 - July 31, rotating between Trans-Pecos, the Queens Museum in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and the Knockdown Center in Maspeth. The series kicks off at Queens Museum on April 10 with a show celebrating the opening of Ramones exhibit, featuring performances by Show Me The Body and The Kominas. That is free with museum entrance. There's also an after-party at Trans-Pecos with Diamond Terrifier B2B M. Beharie, DJ Ushka, Kala and Battyjack (tickets).
Performers include Psychic TV's Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Edley O'Dowd, Despot, Cibo Matto's Miho Hatori, and more. Announced lineup and schedule, including ticket links, are below.
