Philly hard-to-pidgeonhole, electronic-friendly metal trio Genghis Tron -- who played with everyone from Converge to The Faint -- went into hibernation a couple years after 2008's Board Up The House, which came out via Relapse, but appear to be back in action. (The band never broke up, but wrote in 2010 "we have decided to take some time away from the band.") Back in December, they posted a screencap of their 2009 Tweet that said "Songwriting never seems to get any easier" with a new caption saying "ten years later, this is ancient GT wisdom." More recently they've posted pictures of new synths, and what appears to be a studio setup, writing "Real news coming soon. Stay tuned. #genghistron #relapserecords #realnews."

While we wait for that real news to come soon, Genghis Tron have put up "a bunch more shirts and other merch from the Board Up The House era" on their web-store. And you can listen to Board Up The House below.
